Boiler Repairs In Southampton

No one wants a cold shower or for their heating to be on the fritz, especially in the colder months. If you've come home from work and suddenly your shower isn't heating up, that can be enough to push you over the edge, understandably.

If you're in the Southampton or surrounding area of Hampshire, then our engineers can offer quality services with full qualifications. Every engineer we enlist is Gas Safe registered, meaning they are not only legally licensed to handle your gas boiler needs but have the experience and knowledge to advise you on what is best for your home and how to save money on your heating bill.

BOILER REPAIRS IN SOUTHAMPTON

We provide boiler servicing, repairs, and installations and can take you through the entire process. After arriving at your house and performing an inspection, we can discuss your boiler options. If a repair is cheaper and more efficient, then we can perform the repair and get your heating back to working as it should be.

Boiler repairs aren't where we stop, though, as we can also provide central heating and plumbing repairs, so be sure to ask if you have more problems.

No boiler service is too small for our engineers, and we're happy to help wherever we can. Contact us today if you believe your boiler needs repairing.

Our Local Boiler Repairs

Over the 20 years, we have provided customers all across Southampton and Hampshire with great quality service and boiler repairs. We care about your heating as much as you do and want to not only repair your boiler this once but provide ongoing support.

Depending on what the issue is, our engineers should be able to fix the issue there and then on the day. If there's a severe issue, we'll let you know as soon as we spot it. However, once we've assessed the issue and diagnosed what best course of action to take, we are transparent about our pricing. We give you a fixed quote and won't change our word. However, we won't leave your home without either repairing the issue or putting in a temporary piece until we can return.

If the boiler hasn't been serviced or repaired in a long time, and it's apparent that a new boiler should be installed instead, we will break down how this will save you money, both on the upfront cost and in the long run.

We want to make sure that you and your family are safe and can rely on your boiler for years to come. As we are Gas Safe qualified (and you can ask to see this ID at any point), we will only offer a completely new boiler installation where we believe there are no other alternatives because we don't want you spending money where there are cheaper repairs. We can offer recognisable manufacturers such as Worcester Bosch, meaning you know what you're getting.

Common Boiler Repairs

Some companies will try to offer you a fixed price without even seeing or diagnosing the problem so that they can make an easy profit. This isn't our way of working because some boilers will not be efficient within your home, and you'll be best suited to a Combi instead of a Conventional boiler, for example. Whatever the boiler replacement may be, we'll make sure you're getting your money's worth.

COMMON BOILER REPAIRS

As we've been in the game for over 20 years, we know most of the problems and repairs associated with boilers, so very little comes as a surprise to us anymore.

Our engineers have the experience and knowledge to explain the issue to you and fix it with ease, meaning you can get back to the stuff that matters. We can aim to keep you free of problems for the future and advise you of what to look out for going forward.

COMMON BOILER PROBLEMS

We are able to fix and repair any of the below listed issues and more. As we've said, if the issue is more severe upon inspection, we will attempt to repair it the best we can at that moment and then come out again to repair it fully.

We don't want to mess you around and will try our best to get it working at the first call out.

Contact us today to get your plumbing and heating systems evaluated by our professionals. We work throughout the entire Southampton area and can advise you on your options starting today.

Some of the most common repairs we've seen are:

Broken Thermostats

Motor Failures

Value Issues

Leaking Pipes

Pressure Problems

Common Boiler Issues

Every engineer we enlist is Gas Safe qualified and registered.

We have received many boiler questions over the years, so if you find yourself thinking any of these, then give them a read-over. Call us today to further this enquiry.

A boiler that repeatedly turns off could be a result of low pressure or perhaps a blockage in the system.  This can restrict the flow of water throughout the system.

A bigger issue could be a thermostat or value issue, meaning the water isn't being supplied and pumped throughout correctly.

This issue could be an easy fix, so get in touch today.

Every boiler will make noise throughout the day, especially when in use, but some noises may be more worrying than others. Once again, this could be something simple like lower water pressure or some form of air build-up.

If your boiler hasn't been serviced in a long time, then you could begin to notice more of a banging noise from within, meaning pump failure could be at play here. This means you should get in contact very soon, as this could lead to greater problems.

Most commonly, no hot water or lack of heating will be caused by part faults. Airlocks, motorised valves, or the thermostat could be faulty or simply a lower water level than desired within the boiler. This can sometimes be fixed by a new part being fitted by an engineer.

If you're unsure of what this is, a pilot light is the small blue flame that should be constantly lit. If this is going out, your boiler will probably stop working altogether until it is relit.

This could be caused by a simple draft flowing through the house but could also be a broken or damaged thermocouple. Call an engineer to inspect this, as handling it yourself could cause damage and harm, or you could break things further.

A boiler that is dripping water is not wanted and is most commonly caused by faulty pressure valves or pipe connections. A faulty internal component is needing replacement and can be done by an engineer with ease.

If the internal thermostat in the boiler is faulty, then the heating will be working at times when it shouldn't be. You will notice it turning on and off at times when you haven't set it and when it's not wanted. This can mean the thermostat simply needs replacing.

This is a sound that will come from your boiler and can sound similar to a boiling kettle. Commonly, limescale or some buildup of sludge within the system will cause this kettling sound. This is especially common in areas with harder water, so check if this is you. Although this sound may not sound troublesome just yet, it can lead to more serious issues and could prevent water flow throughout the system.

Most boilers will have a pressure gauge on the front, making this a simple process. If the pressure is low (below 1), then you'll find that your heating isn't working correctly. A faulty pressure valve could be at play here and can be replaced by our engineers.

If you notice your heating working fine, but some of your radiators aren't getting hot, then this is to do with the individual radiator. They need balancing, and this can be done by yourself if you feel you can. This isn't a job that is too small for our engineers, though. The radiator can be bled, which could fix the issue, but an internal buildup could stop this radiator from heating up.

Your boiler will have a condensate pipe travelling through it. Their purpose is to move water away from the water, as this can freeze in the colder months and cause an internal blockage. Some boilers will be able to give you a warning sign if this happens, but if not, then give us a call, and we'll be able to diagnose.
